Inner Peace
Inner Peace records the moment I had on a stressful visit to the Veterans Hospital for my husband's surgery.
During this visit, I sat in the dimly lit waiting room trying to settle in to the morning. I leaned my head back, took a breath, and when I looked at the man sitting across the room, I instantly saw a picture in my mind.
I always keep a pencil and paper with me so I drew the vision right then. "Inner Peace" records the calm of that beautiful moment.

It’s 1:57 a.m., and I feel uncorked.
I cannot sleep. My mind is overflowing with pictures, words, possibilities, and ideas. Bringing something unseen into the world.
For me, being uncorked is a feeling of release. It is what happens when something inside you that has been waiting, quietly and patiently, suddenly has room to come out. Ideas begin to flow. Curiosity returns. There is a willingness to follow a thought without knowing exactly where it will lead.
This painting is about that moment of opening—the feeling of discovering that a part of yourself is ready to emerge. To be uncorked is to let go of hesitation, open the door, and give yourself permission to see what might be possible.
Uncorked is a celebration of that creative release: the moment when you stop holding yourself back and simply begin.

Rainbow Row
Rainbow Row
This playful still life began with a blue ceramic dish filled with peanut M&M’s—and keeping those little candies in place long enough to paint them was quite a challenge! Their bright colors lined up against the blue dish reminded me of a rainbow.
For me, the rainbow carries a deeper meaning as a reminder of God’s promise. That personal connection inspired the title Rainbow Row.
6" x 6" approximate, acrylic on masonite board. Unframed, without wire.

Bronze Embrace
Bronze Embrace
12" x 12" x ½" — Acrylic on Gallery-Wrapped Canvas
Bronze vase gently embracing pink flowers. They glow against a turquoise wall resting on a black table. This original acrylic painting is on gallery-wrapped 12x12x.5 canvas and comes ready to hang with a wire attached.
Every Friday, I used to volunteer as a painting leader at our Senior Citizens Center. One Friday, no one showed up, so I decided to make the most of the quiet time and create a moment in time to capture.
I spotted this bronze vase and thought it would make a wonderful subject. I borrowed a few flowers from an arrangement (don't worry—I put them right back! ), arranged them on a table, and took a photograph to use as my reference. From that one moment came this painting.
I love how the vase seems to be embracing the flowers and the black table shows it off so well. Enjoy the moment.

State of Mind, Stream of Consciousness
Art, Family, God, Coffee. Did you ever have those times that there is so much on your mind that you think that your brain is going to explode? That is what this is about. I was in such a transition and overwhelmed. My art was changing, a book was rolling around in my brain and I knew I had to write it and more changes were on the horizon that I could feel coming and I felt like I was going to burst. I know we can all identify with that and we just don't know where to start. But God does and He is helping me sort it all out and get it done.
This gal is full of joy in spite of her being overwhelmed because she trusts God to lead the way.
