Sterling Silver Necklace Hand-stamped with Fireflies and Holds a Petoskey Stone.
Part of my Metal and Stone Collection, this whimsy necklace is sterling silver and features a Petoskey stone at the center. Where nature and metal meet in harmony, the front of the pendant is hand-stamped with a fun design while the back mirrors the fossilized beauty of the stone itself.
The dragonflies are along the sides and the delicate trails add a feeling of movement like you are capturing a moment on metal.
The pendant measures approximately 1-1/2" wide and hangs on a soft 28" leather cord, making it extremely comfy and earthy.
Metal and Stone Collection.

Michigan’s state stone, a Petoskey stone, is a fossil that is composed of a fossilized coral.
"The stone was named for an Ottawa chief, Chief Pet-O-Sega, son of a French fur trader and Ottawa mother. The city of Petoskey, MI, is also named after him, and is the center of the area where the stones are found. According to legend, Petosegay was a descendant of French nobleman and fur trader, Antoine Carre and an Ottawa, daughter of a chief. Petosegay, meaning "rising sun", "rays of dawn" or "sunbeams of promise", and was named by his father after the rays of sun that fell upon his newborn face" - Wikipedia
Dragonfly- Most everywhere, the Dragonfly symbolizes change, transformation, adaptability and self-realization The change is understanding the deeper meaning of life. Spiritually, it signifies the light of God. It also means looking within and dancing – just like a dragonfly. To a warrior and fighter, a dragonfly tattoo represents agility, power, speed, victory, and courage. It also symbolizes rebirth, immortality, transformation, adaptation, and spiritual awareness.
